180 Degree Rule: The 180 degree rule means that when using different camera angles in a scene they can only be on one side of the axis and not both. To reiterate, the 180 degree rule suggests that the camera can only be 180 degrees or a semicircle around the person or object. However this is just a suggestion and does not have to be followed.

Shot/Reverse Shot: Shot/ Reverse shot is used when a character is looking at another character or a conversation is taking place. This involves the camera looking over the shoulders of the characters while reversing to show the two points of view in the scene.

Match On Action: Match on action is an editing technique that pairs two shots of the same action from two cameras, usually one further and one closer to the object or action. A common example is a person opening a door and the person's hand turning the doorknob.
