Conclusion

In my opinion the strongest parts of the film opening were the News Reporter Segment, hacking scene as well as the main title of the film. This is because the set design and costume was very realistic for a News Reporter; we filmed in the drama studio which had worked out very well with the black curtains as it added a sense of realism. We shot this using a long take as it made it easier to edit. The Mid shot was used to convey a TV screen size like the BBC would use.

The visual Effects was added in using after effects, this gave it an authentic feel on the scene as it looks like a British news channel (BBC).

The hacking scene went really well, the lighting was very effective with the green keyboard as it is reminiscent of the matrix and hacking in general.

The camera angles were used efficiently, the first shot that used over the shoulder tilts on my shoulder to reveal me hacking, the depth of field swaps from my shoulder to the keyboard in order to pull focus onto it. The second shot was a panning shot from behind the pc to pan over me coding.

One of the other parts that I think went really well was the Main title, this is the only part where I felt I could flourish with my editing. In order to complete this I made the text Three Dimensional so I could Tilt the Words, I added a synthetic light so that I could give the Title an accent. I also added generated Rainfall in the background to stylise the Title. I then made the titles come out like they were being typed to give an aura of vigilantism.
